Camp Darby's Monthly Card Class

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Thursday, March 21st, at 10:00 in the Yellow Ribbon Room) is our monthly card class. Below are the cards we will be making.

Doesn't this card just scream Spring! Love the simplicity of the layout and colors. With this card we will be heat embossing and coloring the stamp.

This weekend I was in need of a masculine Birthday card and believe it or not, I did not have one. So if I didn't have one, chances are you don't have one. We will be using the technique "Stamping Off" and dry embossing.

And speaking of Birthday cards ... With this card we will be dry embossing and a technique call "2-step stamping". A lot of fun but you can not be too particular about your image.

Inside:

As you can tell, this is not a card, it is called Purse Papers. I seen this tutorial, I knew we had to make it. Really simple and fun.

Classes are $5.00 for supplies and if you have scissors, glue, tape, etc., please bring them. I am looking forward to seeing you and getting together to be creative. Please let me know if you plan on attending by e-mailing at stampinintuscany.blogspot.com or dlfielders@gmail.com or calling 345-850-4334. This way I can make sure I have enough supplies for everyone. Thanks! See you on tomorrow!

MOJO Monday

Mojo Monday's Challenge 281:

My Result:

Sometimes these challenges are very "trying". I found this one to be for me. When I first seen the sketch, I knew I wanted Easter Eggs but I just couldn't find the right patterns/colors. I even walked away from the card for a day (sometimes I find that helpful). My problem is I try to stay with the sketch verbatim and when I allowed myself to stray, this is what I came up with. Still not happy with the eggs. I hope this card inspires you to try and "spruce it up" and if it does, please let me see your end result. I need suggestions = :-)

SUPPLIES USED:

STAMPS: Stampin' Up's Well Scripted; PAPER: Bazzill Basics Petty Cash, Stampin's Up's Whisper White and DSP Sunny Gardens; INK: Tim Holtz Distress Ink Walnut Stain and Stampin Up's Baja Breeze; ACCESSORIES: Stampin' Up's 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Ribbon Taffeta, Spellbinders Nestabilities Nested Eggs, and Martha Stewart's grass punch.

I made the cloud/sky background by ripping a piece of paper, making curves as I tore. Then I sponged (lightly) with Baja Breeze, moving my torn paper at different angles as I went down the paper. If you have any questions, contact me and I will help any way I can.

Thanks for looking! Ciao, Deb

"Just Us Girls"

Just Us Girls Challenge 176:

This week's challenge was the Monthly Color Challenge. The colors picked were Coral, Sage, Kraft and White. My Result:

I totally CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) this layout from a fellow stamper from Pinterest, Heather Telford. What a fun card; easy and fast, that's my kind of card. I do not have a script stamp for the background, so what I did was use my Cuttlebug Script Embossing Folder and I think it turned out OK. (Stamped pad directly on the raised side of the Embossing Folder)

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamp set: SU's Field Flowers; Paper: SU's Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Old Olive; Stamp pads: SU's Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Sahara Sand and Soft Suede; Markers: SU's Stampin' Write Calypso Coral and So Saffron; Ribbon: SU's discontinued Mistletoe

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Stampinintuscany@blogspot.com. I will answer any question you may have and if I don't know, I will find out. Thanks for looking and "Happy Stamping"!

Ciao, Deb

Untitled

Just Us Girls (JUGS) Challenge #170:

And My Result:

I love the way this card turned out - the picture does not do it justice. I am not sure if you can see the details but I used SU's Dazzling Details in the center of the flowers and SU's Crystal Effects on the hearts. It added a very nice touch. Might have to do this card in my next card class!

Supplies:

- Paper: Whisper White, Basic Black and Real Read

- Stamps: SU's Valentine Defined and the flower/heart is from DRS Designes

- Ink: VersaMark

- Accessories: Heat Gun, Black Detailed Embossing Powder, and SU's Stampin' Write Markers
